The first tenant of this croft was Donald Macarthur from Kirvig. In the 1850s, Donald gave up part of the croft to Dougal Macleod, Borrowston as 13 Kirvick and the rest of the croft passed to his widow Effie who gave it up in the 1880s to Malcolm Macarthur, 4/5 Borrowston as 12 Kirvick.
