The first tenant of this croft was John Macaulay (1791-1866) from Bosta, Bernera. When Doune was cleared in 1853, he moved to 15/17 Upper Carloway. After resettlement in 1872, Angus Maclean from Mangersta became the tenant, followed by his son John (1848-).
