The first tenant of this croft was Angus Macneil (b1787). In the 1850s Angus moved to a new croft at 19 Knock Carloway and Donald Macarthur from Knock moved into 15 Borrowston. His son Angus (b1864) settled on the croft and his daughter Catherine Ann and her husband Finlay, who had no family, resided in the home until their death.
