69026: 8b Tolsta Chaolais

8 Tolsta Chaolais was first tenanted by John Macarthur (1796-1878) who was the son of Malcolm Macarthur (1763-1853) and Annabella Macleod.  When John Macarthur died in 1878, the croft was split between his son Donald (b1830) who settled at 8b Tolsta Chaolais and his daughter-in-law Christina, widow of John (1825-1877), who lived at 8a Tolsta Chaolais.

Donald’s son Malcolm (1856-1950) inherited the croft which was later sold to Norman Macleod, 21 Tolsta Chaolais.
