This croft was first tenanted by Murdo Maciver (1797-1889) but it is not known where he originated from. On his death, the croft was divided between his daughter Ann (1838-1907), residing at 3 Knock; his son Norman (b1840), residing at 4 Knock and his son-in-law Malcolm Mackenzie, residing at 5 Knock.

On Ann’s death in 1907, 3 Knock passed to her brother Norman, 4 Knock.
