70158: 7b Tolsta Chaolais

Croft 7 Tolsta Chaolais was first tenanted by John Macaulay (1806-1892) from Breasclete.  He was married to Margaret Macleod (1806-1878), 11 Tolsta Chaolais. On his death, the croft was split between his grandson John (1855-1949) who resided at 7a Tolsta Chaolais and his son Aulay (b1847) who resided at 7b Tolsta Chaolais.  When Aulay’s (b1847) son Aulay (b1881) died in 1964, the house was abandoned and fell into disrepair.
