71034: 13 Doune Carloway

The first tenant of this croft was Murdo Macdonald who came from Hacklete, Bernera. When Doune was cleared in 1853, Murdo and his family moved to 12 Breaclete, Bernera. The next tenant was Peter Macleod from Mangersta. His daughter Ann, married to Norman Macphail inherited the croft and remains with the Macphail family.
