74033: ‘House 3’ Baile
This was the home of Adam MacKay, built close to his parents’ home at ‘house 1’. He lived here with his new wife from about 1897. However, following Adam’s drowning, his widow returned to Leverburgh in 1908 with their children. The house passed instead to Norman Paterson and his family. They later moved to the mainland.
The property now forms part of a hostel run by Gatliff Hebridean Hostels Trust.
