74057: 7a Tolsta Chaolais

No 7 Tolsta Chaolais was first tenanted by John Macaulay (1806-1892) from Breasclete.  He was married to Margaret Macleod (1806-1878), 11 Tolsta Chaolais. On his death, the croft was split between his grandson John (1855-1949) who resided at 7a Tolsta Chaolais and his son Aulay (b1847) who resided at 7b Tolsta Chaolais.

John Macaulay (1855-1899) passed 7a Tolsta Chaolais to his son Duncan Macaulay, living at 20 Knock Carloway which was then passed on to Duncan’s son.
