74244: ‘House 2’ Quay

Fisherman Ewen MacLeod moved here with his family in 1854. He drowned in 1856, and his widow Catherine stayed here with their three young children.

By 1881 it was the home of weaveress Catherine MacCusbic and her sisters.

Following Catherine’s death in 1920 the house passed to Peter Morrison, who moved from his parents’ home at ‘house 3’. When Peter and his young family moved to Rubha Mor, ‘house 2’ passed to his brother Angus.
