The first known tenant of 2 Keose was Kenneth Mackenzie (Coinneach Mor) who married Ann Macleod from Keose. The family moved from Steimreway to Keose in the 1810s.

Kenneth's son John (1816-1892) took over the tenancy, followed by John's son Colin (1836-1911)

Colin's daughter Ann (1873-1945) who married Alexander Mackenzie, 24 Balallan resided at 2 Keose and their son, Colin John (1905-1982) took over the tenancy.
