76446: ‘House 2’ Lamerick

This was a cottar’s house, the home of widow Betsy MacKinnon (née MacAskill) and her family from sometime in the 1850s. It subsequently passed to her daughter Effie, who moved to Skye during the 1880s, and the house became the home of Ann Campbell and her sister Christina.

This property is referred to as ‘house 2’ in the croft history of the area.
