76996: The Willows, Backhill

The Willows was the home of farm labourer Angus MacCuish, and later of his niece Christina Margaret Paterson, who was registrar for the island. From Christina it passed to her brother Roderick, who lived there with his family from about 1973.

The property is referred to as ‘house no 19 Borve’ in Bill Lawson’s croft history of the area.
