The first tenant of the croft at 11 Gravir was Murdo Macaulay (1771-1864) 13 Old Gravir and he passed it to his bachelor son, John Macaulay (1826-1904) who passed it to his nephew Colin Macaulay (1873-1937).
Murdo's son, Hector (1831-1914) was a Cottar on the croft.
Murdo Matheson (1884-1943) son of Donald, 27 Gravir who was the Headteacher at Gravir School purchased the croft and lived there with his siblings. 11 Gravir was passed to his nephew, Donald Matheson (1906-1990).
