The first tenant of croft 12 Gravir was widow Christina Macphail (1781-1868) nee Maclean,  9 Old Gravir.

The croft was then obtained by John Nicolson (1822-1892), 16 Gravir. The croft was then passed to his son, Angus's widow Mary Matheson (1854-1932).

Kenneth Macaskill (1856-1928) 26 Gravir was the next tenant of 12 Gravir and he passed the croft to his son-in-law, John Macphail (1878-1924) 19 Southside, Gravir.

 He passed the croft to his son, Neil Macphail (1917-1980) who passed 12 Gravir to his daughter.

Donald Nicolson (1891-1945) 16 Lemreway was a Cottar on 12 Gravir.
