In the 1852 lotting 31 Gravir was allocated to Mrs Isabella Matheson nee Macdonald (1801-1883) widow of John Matheson (1801-1845) from 3 Old Gravir at Tumanuadan. The croft was passed to their son, Alexander Matheson (1835-1912) and he passed it to his eldest son, Malcolm Matheson (1865-1924). Malcolm and his wife had no children and 31 Gravir was passed to his wife's Niece, Mary Kennedy, 10 Orinsay. Mary died in 1939 and her husband, Murdo Matheson (1898-1967) remarried and left the croft to his eldest son.
