This is to certify that Miss Effie MacLeod has been well known to me from her childhood and that I have pleasure in bearing favour-able testimony to her character & conduct. She has had the benefit of a careful and exemplary upbringing, is truthful and thoroughly honest, industrious & dutiful and from my knowledge of her I can confidently recommend her as an intelligent and trustworthy young woman.
