Speyside is a vaguely defined area encompassing the lower reaches of the River Spey in northeast Scotland, within the historical counties of Banffshire, Morayshire and Aberdeenshire. It includes the towns of Grantown-on-Spey, Aberlour, Dufftown, Rothes, Keith and Huntly. According to some but not all definitions, it extends to the mouth of the river in the Moray Firth.
On this website, records for individual settlements within Speyside are linked to the historical counties in which they lie.
