109617: Castlebay, Barra
Castlebay is the main settlement on the island of Barra and its ferry terminal is part of the triangular route together with Oban and Lochboisdale. Kisimul Castle lies within the bay, and a small ferry takes foot passengers across. Dualchas, Barra’s Heritage & Cultural Centre, opened in 1996 and is open to visitors during the summer months.
