115500: Back District, Lewis

The district known as Back is on the east side of the Isle of Lewis.

In the past the area included Back Tack, Gress Tack and the Coll Tacks. Later the villages of Old Back and Old Gearraidh Ghuirm came into being in the area.

Today it includes the villages of Coll, Gress and Vatisker as well as Back itself.
