18894: Druim a’ Gharraidh, Hacklete

The hamlet of Druim a’ Ghàrraidh is part of Hacklete. In the 1841 and 1851 censuses it is listed separately, but from thereon it is part of Hacklete.

There were four families living there who were dispersed to other parts of the island when Hacklete was made into a sheep farm. The name still exists as an area between numbers 6 and 7 to the west and Ballaglom to the east.
