2776: Baile a’ Ghobhainn, Lewis

Baile a’ Ghobhainn, situated near Uig sands, was a vernacular name for an area of the village of Penny Donald, one of the three small villages cleared in the late 1830s to make way for the farm at Ardroil. The area is now occupied by croft 12 Ardroil.
