Ruisgarry, Berneray

Ruisgarry, pronounced Rushgarry, is the northern township on the island of Berneray. The crofts were re-organised in 1850 and, for convenience, individuals living within Ruisgarry prior to that date are included in 'old Ruisgarry'. The Gaelic name is shown with an additional i on OS maps.
