Isle of Tahay, Sound of Harris
Tahay is an island lying in the Sound of Harris, 7km northeast of Lochmaddy.
Islanders from Berneray used to gather peat from Tahay during the 19th century, until it was seized from them by Factor MacDonald in the 1840s, for the use of tenants evicted from the island of Pabbay.
