38535: Loch Barabhat, Uig

Loch Bharabhat is a small loch inland from Traigh na Berie, in a secluded area 40m above the machair below. It is shallow and silty and distinguished by two important features: Dun Bharabhat, on a small natural island accessed by a 20m causeway, and five ‘norse’ mills on the course of a burn that flows (via a sluice) from the north-east corner of the loch.
