109426: Kingdom of the Isles

Between the 11th and 13th centuries the Kingdom of the Isles included the Inner and Outer Hebrides, reaching south to include west coast islands such as Bute and Arran, and the Isle of Man. The islands were known to the Norse as the Suðreyjar, the Southern Isles, as opposed to the Northern Isles of Orkney and Shetland.

It was much-disputed territory.
