8779: Border Regiment
The Border Regiment formed in 1881. In 1959 it amalgamated with the King’s Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) to become the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment.
Note: This unit should not be mistaken with the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.
