Norman (1856-1918) was the son of Murdo Paterson and Effie Morrison, 3 Park Carloway. He married Margaret Macleod of 5 Hacklete and lived there with her and her relatives, George Macaulay and Ann Macdonald, before returning with her to his family home at 3 Park Carloway. He and Margaret had eight children.
