103769: John Angus MacKillop
John, known better as Seonaidh, was the son of Norman MacKillop and Marion MacKay of 2 Borve. Born in 1924, he attended Berneray School between 1931 and 1939.
In 1954 he married Kate Campbell from Dunvegan, with whom he was to have four children. They lived in Glasgow for a few years, before returning to Berneray, making their home at Ardmaree. Seonaidh became an elder of Berneray’s Church of Scotland in 1962.
He was a contributor to the School of Scottish Studies sound archive. The recordings are available on the Tobar an Dualchais website. A convenient way to access them is via his biography page.
