105175: Isabella MacMillan
Isabella MacMillan, otherwise Bella, was born in 1894, the daughter of William MacMillan and Catherine Shaw of ‘house 77’ Ferry and later 22 Borve (Sandpoint). She attended Berneray School between 1902 and 1910. On leaving school she worked as a domestic servant for Ann MacAskill (née MacLeod), living at her home, ‘house 74’ Ferry.
Bella married machinist Reginald Berry of Cornwall at Tain in 1919. Their son was born on Berneray. The family emigrated to New York in 1925.
