Farm servant Angus MacDonald (born 1867) of 16a Knockintorran married Mary MacAskill of Ferry, Berneray in 1891.
It is believed that they made their home in Lochmaddy. However, Mary and their three children had returned to Berneray by 1902, when the children started school on Berneray, having previously been at Achmore, Lochs. It is likely that they stayed there until at least 1909, when daughter Catherine left Berneray School.
