Angus MacCuish

Angus, born in 1893, was the son of John MacCuish and Margaret MacLeod of Backhill. His father, a fisherman, passed away when Angus was only six years old. Angus was a pupil at Berneray School between 1900 and 1906, leaving to work as a farm and general labourer. He later moved to a house next to his mother's, now named The Willows. Angus remained unmarried. Following his death the house passed to his niece Christina Margaret Paterson.
