Donald Macleod

Donald Macleod

Donald (1925-2005) (twin of Katie Bell) was a son of Donald Macleod and Marion Macleod, 2 Timsgarry. He served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and a record for him can be found in the Roll of Honour 1939-1945.

Donald married Mabel Macdonald from Glenurquhart and had two daughters. They lived in Invermoriston where Donald worked for the Forestry Commission. In 1970, they relocated to Inverness where he was employed by Pringle Woollen Mills until his retirement.
