106851: Malcolm MacCusbic
Malcolm MacCusbic, born about 1825, was the son of Donald MacCusbic and Christina MacAskill of old Borve. He married Margaret Morrison, with whom he was to have four children. Malcolm was a tenant in old Borve, with a farm of 6 acres. However, in 1854 the tenants in Borve were cleared from their land in order to make way for Borve Farm. Malcolm and his family, like his older brother Donald, chose to emigrate to Australia, leaving Plymouth on the Royal Albert on 15th August 1855. They made their home in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
