107066: Alec John Morrison
Alex John Morrison was a son of Murdo Morrison and Catherine Maclean of Stornoway. He was a regular soldier during the War and was one of the few who escaped from St Valery. He later served through Africa and fought at ‘El Alamein’ and onwards up through Sicily and Italy. He returned to prepare for the D-day landings. After leaving the army, he worked as a postman in Stornoway and Cheltenham.
