Roderick Campbell (1814-1890) was a son ofJohn Campbell and Mary Macdonald, 6 Buanish.
The villaged was cleared in 1826 and the family were moved to 14 Tong.
In Stornoway, in 1838, he married Catherine Macdermid from Harris. Roderick and Catherine settled at 10 Tong and they had five children.
Roderick was widowed in 1887.
