John Campbell (born 1856) was a son of John Campbell and Mary Macdonald, 14 Back.

He married Ann Macleod, who had links to Cross and Ness missionary work, and the couple settled as cottars at 14 Back.

In 1886 they had a son, Charles.

In 1887 they emigrated to Canada  and settled in the prairies.
