Hugh MacDonald of Camuscross, Skye was the second husband of widow Marion MacDonald of Milton, South Uist. When Bonnie Prince Charlie was hiding in Uist following the Battle of Culloden, Hugh offered his support. It was Hugh's stepdaughter Flora who helped the Prince escape across the Minch to Skye.
