Catherine Mackenzie was from 23 Borve, Lewis. She married William Morrison of 9 High Borve. They emigrated to Australia in 1949 and during the voyage, their daughter Ann Isobel contracted measles and died. The couple spent 3 years in Australia then moved to Wellington, New Zealand where they lived for 7 years. They returned to Lewis in 1959 and settled at 52 Borve.
