Malcolm Mackay of Quebec, married Ann Maciver who was originally from 20 Old North Tolsta, but who had emigrated to Quebec, in 1841, with her family.

Malcolm had connections to Valtos, but it is not clear if he ever lived there himself. He is buried in Echo Vale Cemetery.
