Donald (born 1905) was a son of Alexander Martin and Dolina Macrae, 17 Vatisker.
He emigrated to the United States of America on 13 January 1928 on the SS Transylvania. He lived in New York with his brother, William and in 1930 was living with his Uncle, his mother's brother. He completed the Declaration of Intention and stated that he was 5ft 10½ in tall, with a fair complexion, dark brown hair and blue eyes.
He married Maggie Mary Kennedy, formerly of 34 Crossbost. The couple settled in New York and they had at least two children.
