Norman (1807-1884) was a son of Donald Macaulay and Chirsty Mackenzie, 11 Old Lemreway.
In Lochs, in 1830, he married Annabella Mackenzie, 10 Old Orinsay. Norman and Annabella were Cottars at 11 Old Lemreway, where six of their eleven children were born
The village was cleared in 1843 and the family were moved to 7 Crossbost.
