Donald, born in 1884, was a son of Malcolm and Ann nee Gillies from 20 Kirkibost. During WW1 both Donald and his brother Angus were held prisoner in Germany after the fall of Antwerp. They both hold Mons Star, one of the British Sevice Medals . Donald, who was unmarried, inherited 20 Kirkibost, which was subsequently given to his brother Angus.
