111638: Mary Macleod
Mary Macleod (1784-1819) was the first wife of Dr Alexander Maciver, of Old North Tolsta Tack.
The couple settled in Stornoway, where Alexander practiced medicine and worked as a merchant.
Mary died in 1819 at age 35. It is not known whether she or Alexander’s second wife, Jean Anderson, was the mother of Alexander’s son Norman Maciver.
