Alexander (1834-1893) was a son of Roderick Mackenzie and Catherine Macaulay, 3 Old Eishken.
In 1835 the family moved to 5 Old Lemreway and in 1843 to 12 Crossbost.
In Lochs, in 1871, he married Catherine Martin from 10 Crossbost. Alexander and Catherine are living with his brother Roderick at 12 Crossbost in 1871.
On the 1881 Census Alexander and Catherine are Cottars at 12 Crossbost with two of their eight children.
