112582: William MacDermid
William MacDermid, born 1810, was the son of crofter John MacDermid and Marion Nicholson of old Ruisgarry. William became a shoemaker and married Chirsty Shaw of old Borve. Together they were to have ten children. The first four were born in Ruisgarry before the family emigrated to Loch Lomond, Cape Breton in 1842. William passed away in 1880 and was buried at Lochside Cemetery, Mount Auburn.
