Ann, born 1838, was the daughter of Peter MacMillan and Ann Ferguson. In 1841 they were living in old Ruisgarry, where Peter was a farmer. With the re-organisation of Ruisgarry in 1845, Ann emigrated to Cape Breton with her family, either to St Peter’s or Cape George. She married Philip Murray of Cape Breton.
