John Munro (1835-1898) was a son of John Munro and Marion Mackay, 2 Old Eishken.
In 1835 the family moved to his uncle Duncan’s croft at 2 Habost.
In 1842 they moved to 2 Old Leurbost then to 22 Leurbost and in 1856 to 1 Newmarket.
In Stornoway, in 1862, John married Kirsty Mackay 5, Newmarket. John and Kirsty settled at 5 Newmarket.
He married again to Ann Macleod, 2 Newmarket in Stornoway in 1876.
