112790: Roderick Morrison

Roderick, born 1829, was the first son of that name born to Kenneth Morrison and Margaret MacCusbic of Borve. By 1841 the family had moved to Ruisgarry. However, with the re-organisation of the crofts in Ruisgarry during the 1840s, the family emigrated to Fergusons’ Lake in Cape Breton. Roderick married Margaret MacKinnon, an immigrant from Carinish, with whom he had a son, Kenneth. The family lived in Framboise.
