112798: John Morrison
John, born 1838, was the son of Kenneth Morrison and Margaret MacCusbic of Borve. By 1841 the family had moved to Ruisgarry. However, with the re-organisation of the crofts in Ruisgarry during the 1840s, the family emigrated to Fergusons’ Lake in Cape Breton. At Grand River in 1874 he married Chirsty Ferguson, whose parents were from Berneray. John and Chirsty made their home at Fergusons’ Lake.
